You’re expecting a baby.
It’s your third, your other two are 3 1/2 and 18 months old. You live 300 km from Brisbane. You go to your GP for a routine check up and there are some concerns about the baby. Before you know it you are on your way to Royal Women’s Hospital in Brisbane. You don’t even get to go home to grab some things or say goodbye to your children who are being looked after by your mother.
Hours later you have been admitted to hospital in Brisbane and told you can have a shower. Shower? What with? Brush your hair? With what? Brush your teeth? With what?
Then, magically a social worker and hands you a simple plastic bag full of goodies from the Rotary Club of Nundah. To your surprise within this bag are the toiletries you need – soap, shampoo, conditioner, hairbrush, antiperspirant, toothbrush, toothpaste, body lotion and razors. These Care Packs are another way the local Rotary Club of Nundah is making a difference.
If you would like to assist, please donate any or all of these goods to our club and we’ll make sure they are handed to women in need.
